the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit
on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

who took care of the vineyard, `For three years now I've been coming to look
for fruit on this fig tree and haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it
use up the soil?'

gardener, See, for three years I have been looking for fruit from this tree,
and I have not had any: let it be cut down; why is it taking up space?

vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree,

the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the
sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought
to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
【NIV】Indignant because Jesus
had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people,
"There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not
on the Sabbath."
【BBE】And the ruler of the
Synagogue was angry because Jesus had made her well on the Sabbath, and he
said to the people, There are six days in which men may do work: so come on
those days to be made well, and not on the Sabbath.

sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men

answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the
sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to
watering?

"You hypocrites! Doesn't each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or
donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?
【BBE】But the Lord gave him an
answer and said, O you false men! do you not, every one of you, on the
Sabbath, let loose his ox and his ass and take it to the water?
【ASV】But the Lord answered
him, and said, Ye hypocrites, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose
his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16【和合本】況且這女人本是亞伯拉罕的後裔，被撒但捆綁了這十八年，不當在安息日解開她的綁嗎？”
