¡iBBE¡jMade an attempt to get a view of Jesus, and was not able to do so, because of the people, for he was a small man.

¡iKJV¡jAnd Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
¡iNIV¡jBut Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount."
¡iBBE¡jAnd Zacchaeus, waiting before him, said to the Lord, See, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken anything from anyone wrongly, I give him back four times as much.

¡iKJV¡jAnd as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
¡iNIV¡jWhile they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once.
¡iBBE¡jAnd while they were giving ear to these words, he made another story for them, because he was near Jerusalem, and because they were of the opinion that the kingdom of God was coming straight away.
¡iASV¡jAnd as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was immediately to appear.

¡iBBE¡jSo he said, A certain man of high birth went into a far-away country to get a kingdom for himself, and to come back.

¡iBBE¡jBut his people had no love for him, and sent representatives after him, saying, We will not have this man for our ruler.
¡iASV¡jBut his citizens hated him, and sent an ambassage after him, saying, We will not that this man reign over us.

¡iKJV¡jAnd it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
¡iNIV¡jHe was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.
¡iBBE¡jAnd when he came back again, having got his kingdom, he gave orders for those servants to whom he had given the money to come to him, so that he might have an account of what business they had done.
¡iASV¡jAnd it came to pass, when he was come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, unto whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by trading.

¡iNIV¡j`Well done, my good servant!' his master replied. `Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.'
¡iBBE¡jAnd he said to him, You have done well, O good servant: because you have done well in a small thing you will have authority over ten towns.

¡iKJV¡jSaying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
¡iNIV¡jGo to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.
¡iBBE¡jSaying, Go into the little town in front of you, and on going in you will see a young ass fixed with a cord, on which no man has ever been seated; let him loose and take him.

¡iKJV¡jAnd when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
¡iNIV¡jWhen he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
¡iBBE¡jAnd when he came near the foot of the Mountain of Olives, all the disciples with loud voices gave praise to God with joy, because of all the great works which they had seen;
¡iASV¡jAnd as he was now drawing nigh, even at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen;

¡iNIV¡jThey will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you."
