箴言全书综合拾穗 【总论全书的中心意义】箴言是实际的伦理学,是真人生哲学,根本于“敬畏耶和华是智慧的开端,认识至圣者便是聪明”(九10)。因为“敬畏耶和华,就是生命的泉源”。“敬畏耶和华的,得着生命,他必恒久知足,不遭祸患”(十九23)。其中心意义,即把从天上来的智慧,实验在地上的人生里;把历代的箴规;都集中在日常生活里。虽是特别侧重在现世的生活,但其视线,却常影射到来世的生活。全书纲领即以“神为人生的中心”。——贾玉铭《箴言要义》 【箴言与古代近东文献的应和】好几篇埃及和美索不达米亚的智慧文学都包括了与箴言对应的段落(包括语言上、风格上、内容上的对应之处)。来自埃及的包括了(按时间先后次序):《蒲他霍特普的教训》(约主前2500年)、《善辩之农夫的故事》(约主前2000年)、《阿曼尼摩比的教诲》(约主前1200年)、《安肖桑基的教诲》(约主前200年)。此外《孟斐斯创世神学》(Memphite

The hope of the righteous is joy;but the expectation of the

The righteous [man] shall never be moved;but the wicked shall not

The mouth of a righteous [man] putteth forth wisdom;but the

The lips of a righteous [man] know what is acceptable;but the

Wealth profiteth not in the day of wrath;but righteou- sness delivereth

The righteousness of the perfect maketh plain his way;but the
wicked falleth by his own wickedness. 11:6 正直人的义必拯救自己,奸诈人必陷在自己的罪孽中。
The righteousness of the upright delivereth them;but the
treacherous are taken in their own craving. 11:7 恶人一死,他的指望必灭绝,罪人的盼望,也必灭没。
When a wicked man dieth,[his] expectation shall perish;and the
hope of evil [men] perisheth. 11:8 义人得脱离患难,有恶人来代替他。
The righteous is delivered out of trouble,and the wicked cometh in his
stead. 11:9 不虔敬的人用口败坏邻舍,义人却因知识得救。
With his mouth a hypocrite destroyeth his neighbour,but
through knowledge are the righteous delivered. 11:10 义人享福,合城喜乐;恶人灭亡,人都欢呼。
When it goeth well with the righteous,the city rejoice- th;and when
the wicked perish,there is shouting. 11:18 恶人经营,得虚浮的工价;撒义种的,得实在的果效。
The wicked worketh a deceitful work;but he that soweth
righteousness hath a sure reward. 11:19 恒心为义的,〔必得〕生命;追求邪恶,〔必致〕死亡。
As rihgteousness [tendeth] to life,so he that pursueth evil
[doeth it] to his own death. 11:21 恶人〔虽然〕连手,必不免受罚;义人的后裔,必得拯救。
Hand for hand! an evil [man] shall not be held innocent;but the
seed of the righteous shall be delivered. 11:23 义人的心愿尽得好处,恶人的指望致干忿怒。
The desire of the righteous is only good;the expecta- tion of the
wicked is wrath. 11:27 恳切求善的,就求得恩惠,惟独求恶的,恶必临到他身。
He that is earnest after good seeketh favour,but he that searcheth for
mischief,it shall come upon him. 11:28 倚仗自己财物的,必跌倒,义人必发旺如青叶。
He that trusteth in his riches shall fall;but the righte- ous shall
flourish as a leaf. 11:30 义人所结的果子就是生命树,有智慧的必能得人。
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life;and the wise winneth souls.
11:31 看哪,义人在世尚且受报,何况恶人和罪人呢?
Behold,the righteous shall be requited on the earth how much more the wicked
and the sinner. 12:3 人靠恶行不能坚立,义人的根必不动摇。
A man shall not be established by wickedness;but the root of the righteous
shall not be moved. 12:5 义人的思念是公平,恶人的计谋是诡诈。
The thoughts of the righteous are right;the counsels of the wicked are
deceit. 12:7 恶人倾覆,归与无有;义人的家,必站得住。
Overthrow the wicked,and they are no [more];but the house of the righteous

A righteous man is concerned for the life of his beast;but the
tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. 12:12 恶人想得坏人的网罗,义人的根得以结实。
The wicked desireth the net of evil [men];but the root of the righteous

In the transgression of the lips is an evil snare;but a
righteous [man] shall go forth out of trouble. 12:21 义人不遭灾害,恶人满受祸患。
There shall no evil happen to a righteous [man];but the

The righteous guideth his neighbour,but the way of the wicked

In the path of righteousness is life,and in the pathway thereof

A righteous [man] hateth lying;but the wicked maketh himself

Righteousness preserveth him that is perfect in the way;but

The light of the righteous rejoiceth;but the lamp of the wicked

A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children;but the
wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous [man].

Much food is in the tillage of the poor;but there is that is lost for

The ringhteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul;but the

The evil bow before the good,and the wicked at the gates of the righteous

Do they not err that devise evil? but loving-kindness and truth are

The wicked is driven away by his evil-doing;but the righteous trusteth, [even]

Righteousness exalteth a nation;but sin is a reproach to

In the house of a righteous [man] is much treasure;but in

The heart of a righteous [man] studieth to answer,but the

Jehovah is far from the wicked;but he heareth the prayer of

By loving-kindness and truth iniquity is atoned for;and by
the fear of Jehovah [men] depart from evil. 16:8 多有财利,行事不义,不如少有财利,行事公义。
Better is a little with righteousness,than great revenues without
right. 16:11 公道的天平和秤都属耶和华,囊中一切砝码都为祂所定。
The just balance and scales are Jehovah's;all the weights of the bag are
his work. 16:12 作恶,为王憎恶,因国位是靠公义坚立。
It is an abomination to kings to conunit wickedness;for the
throne is established by righteousness. 16:13 公义的嘴为王所喜悦,说正直话的,为王所喜爱。
Righteous lips are the delight of kings,and they love him that
speaketh aright. 16:27 匪徒图谋奸恶,嘴上仿佛有烧焦的火。
A man of Belial diggeth up eval,and on hislips there is as a
scorching fire. 16:31 白发的荣耀的冠冕,在公义的道上,必能得着。
The hoary head is a crown of glory,[if] it is found in the way of
righteousness. 17:11 恶人只寻背叛,所以必有严厉的使者,奉差攻击他。
An evil [man] seeketh only rebellion;but a cruel messenger shall be
sent against him. 17:13 以恶报善的,祸患必不离他的家。
Whoso rewardeth evil for good,evil shall not depart from his house.
17:15 定恶人为义的,定义人为恶的,这都为耶和华所憎恶。
He that justifieth the wicked,and he that condemneth the righteous,even they
both are abomination to Jehovah. 17:26 刑罚义人为不善;责打君子为不义。
To punish a righteous [man] is not good,nor to strike nobles because
of [their] uprightness. 18:3 恶人来,藐视随来;羞耻到,辱骂同到。
When the wicked cometh,there cometh also contempt,and with
ignominy reproach. 18:5 瞻徇恶人的情面,偏断义人案件,都为不善。
It is not good to accept the person of the wicked,to wrong
the righteous in judgment. 18:10 耶和华的名是坚固台,义人奔入,便得安稳。
The name of Jehovah is a strong tower:the righteous runneth into it,and is
safe. 19:28 匪徒作见证戏笑公平,恶人的口吞下罪孽. A witness of Belial scorneth judgment,and the mouth of the wicked
swalloweth down inipuity. 20:7 行为纯正的义人,他的子孙是有福的。
The righteous walketh in his integrity: blessed are his children after
him! 20:8 王坐在审判的位上,以眼目驱散诸恶。
A king sitting on the throne ofjudgment scattereth away all evil with
his eyes. 20:9 谁能说,我洁净了我的心,我脱净了我的罪?
Who can say,I have made my heart clean,I am pure
from my sin? 21:3 行仁义公平,比献祭更蒙耶和华悦纳。
To exercise justice and judgment is more acceptable to Jehovah than
sacrifice. 21:12 义人思想恶人的家,知道恶人倾倒,必至灭亡。
One that is righteous wisely considereth the house of the wicked: he
overthroweth the wicked to [their] min. 21:15 秉公行义使义人喜乐,使作孽的人败坏。
It is joy to a righteous [man] to do what is right;but it is
ruin for the workers of iniquity. 21:18 恶人作了义人的赎价,奸诈人代替正直人。
The wicked is a ransom for the righteous,and a treache- rous [man] in
the stead of the upright. 21:21 追求公义仁慈的,就寻得生命、公义和尊荣。
He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life,righteousness,and
honour. 21:26 有终日贪得无厌的。义人施舍而不吝惜。
He coveteth greedily all the day long;but the righteous giveth and
spareth not. 21:27 恶人的祭物是可憎的,何况他存恶意来献呢?
The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more when they

10:4 手懒的,要受贫穷;手勤的,却要富足。
He cometh to want that dealeth with a slack hand;but the
hand of the diligent maketh rich. 10:5 夏天聚敛的,是智慧之子;收割时沉睡的,是贻羞之子。
He that gathereth in summer is a wise son;he that sleepeth in harvest is
a son that causeth shame. 10:26 懒惰人叫差他的人,如醋倒牙,如烟熏目。
As vinegar to the teeth,and as smoke to the eyes,so is the sluggard to them
that send him. 12:11 耕种自己田地的,必得饱食,追随虚浮的,却的无知。
He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread;but he
that followeth the worthless is void of understanding.
12:24 殷勤人的手必掌权;懒惰的人必服苦。
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule;but the slothful [hand] shall
be under tribute. 12:27 懒惰的人不烤打猎所得的;殷勤的人却得宝贵的财物。
The slothful roasteth not what he took in hunting;but man's
precious substance is to the diligent. 13:4 懒惰人羡慕,却无所得,殷勤人必得丰裕。
Wealth ]gotten] by vanity diminisheth;but he that gathereth
bymanual-labour shall increase [it]. 13:11 不劳而得之财必然消耗;勤劳积蓄的必见加增。
Wealth [gotten] by vanity diminisheth;but he that gathereth by
manual-labour shall increase [it]. 14:4 家里无牛,槽头干净,土产加多,乃凭牛力。
Where no oxen are,the crib is clean;but much increase is by the

In all labour there is profit;but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to want.

The way of the sluggard is as a hedge of thorns;but the
path of the upright is made plain. 18:9 做工懈怠的,与浪费人为弟兄。
He also who is indolent in his work is brother of the destroyer.
19:15 懒惰使人沉睡,懈怠的人必受饥饿。
Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep,and the idle soul shall suffer
hunger. 19:24 懒惰人放手在盘子里,就是向口撤回,他也不肯。
A sluggard burieth his hand in the dish, and will not even bringit to
his mouth again. 20:4 懒惰人因冬寒不肯耕种,到收割的时候,他必讨饭而无所得。
The sluggard will not plough by reason of the winter,he shall
beg in harvest,and have nothing. 20:13 不要贪睡,免致贫穷;眼要睁开,你就吃饱。
Love not sleep,lest thou come to poverty;open thine eyes,[and]
thou shalt be satisfied with bread. 21:5 殷勤策划的,足致丰裕;行事急噪的,都必缺乏。
The thoughts of the diligent [tend] only to plenteous- ness;but of
every one that is hasty,only to want. 21:25 懒惰人的心愿将他杀害,因为他手不肯做工。
The desire of the sluggard killeth hIm;for his hands refuse to work.
智慧七柱:正直Integrity(完全Perfect) 10:9 行正直路的,步步安稳;走弯曲道的,必致败露。
He that walketh in integrity walketh securely;but he that perverteth his
ways shall be known. 10:29 耶和华的道是正直人的保障,却成了作孽人的败坏。
The way of Jehovah is strength to the perfect [man],but
destruction to the workers of iniquity. 11:3 正直人的纯正必引导自己;奸诈人的乖僻必毁灭自己。
The integrity of the upright guideth them;but the crookedness of the
unfaithful destroyeth them. 11:11 城因正直人祝福便高举,却因邪恶人的口就倾覆。
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted;but it is
overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. 11:20 心中乖僻的,为耶和华所憎恶,行事完全的;为祂所喜悦。
The perverse in heart are abomination to Jehovah;but they
that are perfect in [their] way are his delight. 12:2 善人必蒙耶和华的恩惠,设诡计的人,耶和华必定他的罪。
A good [man] obtaineth favour of Jehovah;but a man of mischievous
devices will he condemn. 12:6 恶人的言论是埋伏流人的血,正直人的口必拯救人。
The words of the wicked are a lying-in-wait for blood;but the
mouth of the upright shall deliver them. 12:8 人必按自己的智慧被称颂,心中乖谬的,必被藐视。
A man is commended according to his wisdom;but he that is of a perverted
heart shall be despised. 12:20 图谋恶事的,心存诡诈,劝人和睦的,便得喜乐。
Deceit in the heart of them that devise evil;but to the counsellors of
peace is joy. 13:2 人因口所结的果子,必享美福,奸诈人〔必遭〕强暴。
A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth;but the soul of the
treacherous,violence. 13:6 行为正直的,有公义保守,犯罪的,被邪恶倾覆。
Righteousness preserveth him that is perfect in the way;but
wickedness overthroweth the sinner. 13:15 美好的聪明,使人蒙恩,奸诈人的道路,崎岖难行。
Good understanding procureth favour;but the way of the treacherous
is hard. 14:2 行动正直的,敬畏耶和华,行事乖僻的,却藐视祂。
He that walketh in his uprightness feareth Jehovah;but he
that is perverted in his ways despiseth him. 14:8 通达人的智慧,在乎明自己道,愚昧人的愚妄,乃是诡诈。
The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way;but the
folly of the foolish is deceit. 14:9 愚妄人犯罪,以为戏耍(或作“赎愆祭愚弄愚妄人”〕;正直人互相喜悦。
Fools make a mock at trespass;but for the uptight there is favour.
14:11 奸恶人的房屋必倾倒;正直人的帐棚必兴盛。
The house of the wicked shall be overthrown;but the tent of the upright
shall flourish. 14:17 轻易发怒的,行事愚妄;设立诡计的,被人恨恶。
He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly,and a man of mischievous
devices is hated. 15:8 恶人献祭,为耶和华所憎恶;正直人祈祷,为祂所喜悦。
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah;but the
prayer of the upright is his delight. 15:19 懒惰人的道,像荆棘的篱笆;正直人的路,是平坦的大道。
The way of the sluggard is as a hedge of thorns;but the
path of the upright is made plain. 15:21 无知的人以愚妄为乐;聪明的人按正直行。
Folly is joy to him that is void of sense;but a man of understanding
regulateth his walk. 15:26 恶谋为耶和华所憎恶,良言乃为纯净。
The thoughts of the evil [man] are an abomination to Jehovah;but pure
words are pleasant. 15:27 贪恋财利的,扰害己家;恨恶贿赂的,必得存活。
He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house;but he
that hateth gifts shall live. 16:10 王的嘴中有神语,审判之时,他的口必不差错。
An oracle is on the lips of the king: his mouth will not err in
judgment. 16:13 公义的嘴为王所喜悦;说正直话的,为王所喜爱。
Righteous lips are the delight of kings,and they love him that
speaketh aright. 16:17 正直人的道,是远离恶事;谨守己路的,是保全性命。
The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that taketh heed
to his way keepeth his soul. 16:29 强暴人诱惑邻舍,领他走不善之道。
A violent man enticeth his neighbour,and leadeth him into a way
that is not good. 17:8 贿赂在馈送的人眼中看为玉宝,随处运动都得顺利。
A gift is a precious stone in the eyes of the possessor: whithersoever
it turneth it prospereth. 17:20 心存邪僻的,寻不着好处;舌弄是非的,陷在祸患中。
He that hath a perverse heart findeth no good;and he that shifteth about
with his tongue falleth into evil. 17:23 恶人暗中受贿赂,为要颠倒判断。
A wicked [man] taketh a gift out of the bosom,to pervert the paths of
judgment. 19:1 行为纯正的贫穷人,胜过乖谬愚妄的〔富足〕人。
Better is a poor [man] that walketh in his integrity,than he
that is perverse in his lips,and is a fool. 20:7 行为纯正的义人,他的子孙是有福的。
The righteous walketh in his integrity: blessed are his children after
him! 20:11 孩童的动作,是清洁、是正直,都显明他的本性。
Even a child is known by his doings,whether his work be pure,and
whether it be right. 21:7 恶人的强暴,必将自己扫除,因他们不肯按公平行事。
The devastation of the wicked sweepeth them away,because
they refuse to do what is right. 21:8 负罪之人的路,甚是弯曲,至于清洁的人,他所行的乃是正直。
Very crooked is the way of a guilty man;but as for the pure,his work
is upright. 21:18 恶人作了义人的赎价,奸诈人代替正直人。
The wicked is a rnsom for the righteous,and a treacher- ous [man] in
the stead of the upright. 21:29 恶人脸无羞耻,正直人行事坚定。
A wicked man hardeneth his face;but as for the upright,he
establisheth his way. 智慧七柱:仁慈,怜悯Mercy(慈爱Love,恩典Grace) 10:12 恨,能挑启争端,爱,能遮掩一切过错。
Hatred stirreth up strifes;but love covereth all trans- gressions.
11:16 恩德的妇女得尊荣;强暴的男子得资财。
A gracious woman retaineth honour;and the violent retain riches.
11:17 仁慈的人善待自己;残忍的人扰害己身。
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul;but the cruel troubleth his
own flesh. 11:24 有施散的,却更增添;有吝惜过度的,反致穷乏。
There is that scattereth,and yet increaseth;and there is that withholdeth
more than is right,but [it tendeth] only to want.
11:25 好施舍的,必得丰裕;滋润人的,必得滋润。
The liberal soul shall be made fat,and he that watereth shall be
watered also himself. 11:26 屯粮不卖的,民必诅咒他,情愿出卖的,人必为他祝福。
He that withholdeth corn,the people curse him: but blessing shall be upon
the head of him that selleth it. 14:21 藐视邻舍的,这人有罪;怜悯贫穷的,这人有福。
He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth;but he that is gracious to the
afflicted,happy is he. 14:31 欺压贫寒的,是辱没造他的主;怜悯穷乏的,乃是尊敬主。
He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker;but he
that honoureth Him is gracious to the needy. 15:4 温良的舌是生命树,乖谬的嘴使人心碎。
Gentleness of tongue is a tree of life;but crookedness therein is a
breaking of the spirit. 15:17 吃素菜,彼此相爱,强如吃肥牛,彼此相恨。
Better is a meal of herbs where love is,than a fatted ox and hatred
therewith. 16:6 因怜悯诚实,罪孽得赎;敬畏耶和华的,远离恶事。
By loving-kindness and truth iniquity is atoned for,and by
the fear of Jehovah [men] depart from evil. 17:5 戏笑穷人的,是辱没造他的主,幸灾乐祸的,必不免受罚。
Whoso mocketh a poor [man] reproacheth his Maker;he that
is glad at calamity shall not be held innocent. 17:9 遮掩人过的,寻求人爱;屡次挑错的,离间密友。
He that covereth transgression seeketh love;but he that bringeth a matter
up again separateth very friends. 17:17 朋友乃时常亲爱;弟兄为患难而生。
The friend loveth at all tunes,and a brother is born for
adversity. 18:19 弟兄结怨,〔劝他和好〕,比取坚固城还难,〔这样的〕争竞,如同坚寨的门闩。
A brother offended is [harder to be won] than a strong city;and
contentions are as the bars of a palace. 18:23 贫穷人说哀求的话,富足人用威吓的话回答。
He that is poor speaketh with supplications,but the rich answereth
roughly. 19:6 好施散的,有多人求他的恩情;爱送礼的,人都为他的朋友。
Many court the favour of a noble;and every one is friend to man
that giveth. 19:11 人有见识,就不轻易发怒;宽恕人的过失,便是自己的荣耀。
The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger,and it is
his glory to pass over a transgression. 19:17 怜悯贫穷的,就是借给耶和华,他的善行,耶和华必偿还。
He that is gracious to the poor lendeth unto Jehovah;and what
he hath bestowed will he repay unto him. 19:22 施行仁慈的,令人爱慕,穷人强如说谎言的。
The charm of a man is his kindness;and a poor [man] is better
than a liar. 20:28 王因仁慈和诚实,得以保全他的国位,也因仁慈立稳。
Mercy and truth preserve the king;and he upholdeth his throne by
mercy. 21:10 恶人的心,乐人受祸,他眼并不怜恤邻舍。
The soul of the wicked desireth evil: his neighbour findeth no favour
in his eyes. 21:13 塞耳不听穷人哀求的,他将来呼吁也不蒙应允。
Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor,he also himself shall cry,and shall
not be heard. 21:21 追求公义仁慈的,就寻得生命、公义,和尊荣。
He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life,righteousness,and
honour. 智慧七柱:信实Faithfulness(诚实Truthfulness) 10:18 隐藏怨恨的,有说谎的嘴,口出谗谤的,是愚妄的人。
He that covereth hatred hath lying lips,and he that sendeth forth a
slander is a fool. 11:1 诡诈的天平为耶和华所憎恶;公平的砝码为祂所喜悦。
A false balance is an abomination to Jehovah;but a just weight is his
delight. 11:13 往来传舌的,泄露密事;心中诚实的,遮隐事情。
He that goeth about talebearing revealeth secrets;but he
that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. 12:17 说出真话的,显明公义;作假见证的,显出诡诈。
He that uttereth truth sheweth forth righteousness;but a
false witness deceit. 12:19 口吐真言,永远坚立;舌说谎话,只存片时。
The lip of truth shall be established forever;but a lying tongue is but for
a moment. 12:22 说谎言的嘴,为耶和华所憎恶;行事诚实的,为祂所喜悦。
Lying lips are an abomination to Jehovah;but they that deal truly are
his delight. 13:17 奸恶的使者必险在祸患里;忠信的是使臣乃医人的良药。
A wicked messenger falleth into evil;but a faithful ambassador is
health. 14:5 诚实见证人,不说谎话;假见证人,吐出谎言。
A faithful witness will not lie;but a false witness uttereth
lies. 14:25 作真见证的,救人性命;吐出谎言的,〔施行〕诡诈。
A true witness delivereth souls;but deceit uttereth lies.
16:6 因怜悯诚实,罪孽得赎,敬畏耶和华的,远离恶事。
By loving-kindness and truth iniquity is atoned for;and by
the fear of Jehovah [man] depart from evil. 16:28 乖僻人播散纷争,传舌的离间密友。
A false man soweth contention;and a talebearer separateth very friends.
17:4 行恶的,留心听奸诈之言;说谎的侧耳听邪恶之语。
The evil-doer giveth heed to iniquitous lips;the liar giveth ear to a
mischievous tongue. 17:7 愚顽人说美言本不相宜,何况君王说谎话呢?
Excefcnt speech becometh not a vile [man];how much less do lying lips a
noble! 18:8 传舌人的语言,如同美食深入人的心腹。
The words of a talebearer are as dainty morsels,and they
go down into the innermost parts of the belly. 19:5 作假见证的,必不免受罚;吐出谎言的,终不能逃脱。
A false witness shall not be held innocent,and he that uttereth lies
shall not escape. 19:9 作假见证的,不免受罚;吐出谎言的,也必灭亡。
A false witness shall not be held innocent,and he that uttereth lies
shall perish. 19:22 施行仁慈的,令人爱慕,穷人强如说谎言的。
The charm of a man is his kindness;and a poor [man] is better
than a liar. 20:6 人多述说自己的仁慈,但忠信人谁能遇着呢?
Most men will proclaim every one his own kindness;but a
faithful man who shall find? 20:10 两样的砝码、两样的升斗,都为耶和华所憎恶。
Divers weights,divers measures,even both of them are
abomination to Jehovah. 20:14 买物的说:“不好,不好!”;及至〔买〕去,他便自夸。
“Bad! bad!”saith the
buyer;but when he is gone his way,thenhe boasteth. 20:17 以虚谎而得的食物,人觉甘甜,但后来他的口必充满尘沙。
Bread of falsehood is sweet to a man,but afterwards his mouth shall
be filled with gravel. 20:23 两样的砝码,为耶和华所憎恶,诡诈的天平也为不善。
Divers weights are an abomination unto Jehovah;and a false balance is not
good. 20:28 王因仁慈和诚实,得以保全他的国位,也因仁慈立稳。

The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting breath of

A lying witness shall perish;and a man that heareth shall speak constantly.
智慧七柱:节制Self-control
10:19 多言多语难免有过,禁止嘴唇是有智慧。
In the multitude of words there wanteth not transgre- ssion;but he
that restraineth his lips doeth wisely. 12:16 愚妄人的恼怒立时显露,通达人能忍辱藏羞。
The vexation of the fool is presently known;but a prudent [man] covereth
shame. 12:18 说话浮躁的,如刀刺人,智慧人的舌头,却为医人的良药。
There is that babbleth like the piercings of a sword;but the
tongue of the wise is health. 13:3 谨守口的,得保生命;大张嘴的,必致败亡。
He that guardeth his mouth keepeth his soul;destruction shall be to him
that openeth wide his lips. 14:17 轻易发怒的,行事愚妄;设立诡计的,被人恨恶。
He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly,and a man of mischievous
devices is hated. 14:23 诸般勤劳都有益处,嘴上多言乃致穷乏。
In all labour there is profit;but the talk of the lips [tendeth] only to want.
14:29 不轻易发怒的,大有聪明;性情暴躁的,大显明愚妄
He that is slow to anger is of great understanding;but he
that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. 15:1 回答柔和,使怒消退;言语暴戾,触动怒气。
A soft answer turneth away fury;but a grievous word stirreth
up anger. 15:18 暴怒的人挑启争端;忍怒的人止息纷争。
A furious man stirreth up contention;but he that is slow to anger
appeaseth strife. 16:32 不轻易发怒的,胜过勇士;治服己心的,强如取城。
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty,and he
that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. 17:14 纷争的起头〔如〕水放开,所以在争闹之先,必当止息争竞。
The beginning of contention is [as] when one letteth out water;therefore
leave off strife before it become vehement. 17:19 喜爱争竞的,是喜爱过犯;高立家门的,乃自取败坏。
He loveth transgression that loveth a quarrel;he that maketh high his gate
seeketh destruction. 17:27 寡少言语的有知识;性情温良的有聪明。
He that hath knowledge spareth his words;and a man of understanding is
of a cool spirit. 17:28 愚昧人若静默不言,也可算为智慧,闭口不说,也可算为聪明。
Even a fool when he holdeth his peace is reckoned wise,[and] he
that shutteth his lips,intelligent. 19:2 心无知识的,乃为不善;脚步急快的,难免犯罪。
Also that a person be without knowledge is not good; and he
that hasteth with his feet maketh false steps. 19:11 人有见识,就不轻易发怒,宽恕人的过失,便是自己的荣耀。
The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger,and it is
his glory to pass over a transgression. 19:16 谨守戒命的,保全生命;轻忽己路的,必致死亡。
He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his soul;he that
is careless of his ways shall die. 19:19 暴怒的人必受刑罚,你若救他,必须再救。
A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment;for if thou deliver [him],yet thou
must do it again. 20:1 酒能使人亵慢,浓酒使人喧嚷,凡因酒错误的,就无智慧。
Wine is a scorner,strong drink is raging;and whoso erreth thereby is
not wise. 20:3 远离纷争,是人的尊荣;愚妄人都爱争闹。
It is an honour for a man to cease from strife;but every fool rusheth into
it. 20:19 往来传舌的泄漏密事,大张嘴的,不可与他结交。
He that goeth about talebearing revealeth secrets;therefore
meddle not with him that openeth his lips. 20:22 你不要说,我要以恶报恶。要等候耶和华,祂必拯救你。
Say not,I will recompense evil: wait on Jehovah,and he shall save thee.
20:25 人冒失说,〔这是〕圣物,许愿之后才查问,就是自陷网罗。
It is a snare to a man rashly to say,It is hallowed,and after
vows to make inquiry.
21:5 殷勤筹划的,足致丰裕;行事急燥的,都必缺乏。
The thoughts of the diligent [tend] only to plenteousn- ess;but of
every one that is hasty,only to want. 21:17 爱宴乐的,必致穷乏;好酒,爱膏油的,必不富足。
He that loveth mirth shall be a poor man;he that loveth wine and oil
shall not be rich. 21:20 智慧人家中〔积蓄〕宝物膏油,愚昧人随得来随吞下。
There is costly store and oil in the dwelling of a wise [man];but a foolish
man swalloweth it up. 21:23 谨守口与舌的,就保守自己免受灾难。
Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
智慧七柱:谦卑Humility
11:2 骄傲来,羞耻也来,谦逊人却有智慧。
[When] pride cometh,then cometh shame;but with the lowly is wisdom.
11:12 藐视邻舍的,毫无智慧,明哲人却静默不言。
He that despiseth his neighbour is void of heart;but a man
of understanding holdeth his peace. 11:14 无智谋,民就败落;谋士多,人便安居。
Where no advice is,the people fall;but in the multitude of
counsellors there is safely. 12:1 喜爱管教的,就是喜爱知识;恨恶责备的,却是畜类。
Whoso loveth discipline loveth knowledge,but he that hateth reproof is
brutish. 12:9 被人轻贱,却有仆人,强如自尊,缺少食物。
Better is he that is lightly esteemed,and hath a servant,than he
that honoureth himself,and lacketh hread. 12:15 愚妄人所行的,在自己眼中看为正直,惟智慧人肯听人的劝教。
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes;but he that is wise hearkeneth
unto counsel. 13:1 智慧子〔听〕父亲的教训,亵慢人不听责备。
A wise son [heareth] his father's instruction;but a scorner heareth not
rebuke. 13:10 骄傲只启争竞,听劝言的,却有智慧。
By pride there only cometh contention;but with the well-advised is
wisdom. 13:13 藐视训言的,自取灭亡,敬畏诫命的,必得善报。
Whoso despiseth the word shall be held by it;but he that feareth the
commandment shall be rewarded. 13:18 弃绝管教的,〔必致〕贫受辱;领受责备的,必得尊荣。
Poverty and shame shall be [to] him that refuseth instruction;but he
that regardeth reproof shall be honoured. 14:3 愚妄人口中骄傲,如杖责打己身;智慧人的嘴,必保守自己。
In the fool's mouth is a rod of pride;but the lips of the wise shall
preserve them. 14:6 亵慢人寻智慧,却寻不着;聪明人易得知识。
A scorner seeketh wisdom,and there is none [for him];but
knowledge is easy unto the intelligent. 14:16 智慧人惧怕,就远离恶事;愚妄人却狂傲自恃。
A wise [man] feareth and departeth from evil;but the foolish is overbearing
and confident. 15:5 愚妄人藐视父亲的管教,领受责备的,得着见识。
A fool despiseth his father's instruction;but he that regardeth reproof
becometh prudent. 15:10 舍弃正路的,必受严刑;恨恶责备的,必致死亡。
Grievous correction is for him that forsaketh the path;he that
hateth reproof shall die. 15:12 亵慢人不爱受责备,他也不就近智慧人。
A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him;he will not go unto the wise.
15:22 不先商议,所谋无效;谋士众多,所谋乃成。
Without counsel purposes are disappointed;but in the multitude of counsellors
they are established 15:25 耶和华必拆毁骄傲人的家,却要立定寡妇的地界。
Jehovah plucketh up the house of the proud;but he establisheth the
boundary of the widow. 15:31 听从生命责备的,必常在智慧人中。
The ear that heareth the reproof of life shall abide among thewlse.
15:32 弃绝管教的,轻看自己的生命,听从责备的,却得智慧。
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul;but he
that heareth reproof getteth sense. 15:33 敬畏耶和华,是智慧的训诲,尊荣以前,必有谦卑。
The fear of Jehovah is the discipline of wisdom,and
before honour [goeth] humility. 16:5 凡心里骄傲的,为耶和华所憎恶,〔虽然〕连手,他必不免受罚。
Every proud heart is an abomination to Jehovah: hand for hand,he shall
not be held innocent. 16:18 骄傲在败坏以先;狂心在跌倒之前。
Pride [goeth] before destruction,and a haughty spirit before a
fall. 16:19 心里谦卑与穷乏人来往,强如将掳物骄傲人同分。
Better is it to be of a humble spirit with the meek,than to
divide the spoil with the proud. 16:20 谨守训言的,必得好处,倚靠耶和华的,便为有福。
He that giveth heed to the word shall find good;and whoso
confideth in Jehovah,happy is he. 16:33 签放在怀里,定事由耶和华。
The lot is cast into the lap;but the whole decision is of Jehovah.
17:10 一句责备的话深入聪明人的心,强如责打愚昧人一百下。
A reproof entereth more deeply into him that hath under- standing than
a hundred stripes into a fool. 17:19 喜爱争竞的,是喜爱过犯;高立家门的,乃自取败坏。
He loveth transgression that loveth a quarrel;he that maketh high his gate
seeketh destruction. 18:1 与众寡合的,独自寻求心愿,并恼恨一切真智慧。
He that separateth himself seeketh [his] pleasure,he is
vehement against all sound wisdom. 18:12 败坏之先,人心骄傲;尊荣以前,必有谦卑。
Before destruction the heart of man is haughty;and before honour [goeth]
humility. 18:13 未曾听完先回答的,便是他的愚昧和羞辱。
He that giveth answer before he heareth,it is folly and shame unto
him. 18:18 掣签能止息争竞,也能解散强胜的人。
The lot causeth contentions to cease,and parteth between the might.
19:20 你要听劝教、受训诲,使你终久有智慧。
Hear counsel,and receive instruction,that thou mayest be wise in
thy latter end. 19:25 鞭打亵慢人,愚蒙人必长见识;责备明哲人,他就明白知识。
Smite a scorner,and the simple will beware;reprove
the intelligent,and he will understand knowledge. 21:4 恶人发达,眼高心傲,这乃是罪〔“发达”原文作“灯”〕。
Lofty eyes,and a proud heart,the lamp of the wicked,is sin.
21:11 亵慢的人受刑罚,愚蒙的人就是得智慧。智能人受训诲,便得知识。
When the scorner is punished,the simple becometh wise;and when the wise is
instructed,he receiveth knowledge. 21:24 心骄气傲的人,名叫亵慢,他行事狂妄,都出于骄傲。
