¡iKJV¡jAnd straightway in the morning the chief priests held a
consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound
Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
¡iNIV¡jVery early in the morning,
the chief priests, with the elders, the teachers of the law and the whole
Sanhedrin, reached a decision. They bound Jesus, led him away and handed him
over to Pilate.
¡iBBE¡jAnd the first thing in the
morning the chief priests, with those in authority and the scribes and all
the Sanhedrin, had a meeting, and put cords round Jesus, and took him away,
and gave him up to Pilate.

answering said unto them, Thou sayest it.

behold how many things they witness against thee.

"Aren't you going to answer? See how many things they are accusing you
of."

with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink.
"Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down,"

God, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus' body.

the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and
rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
¡iNIV¡jSo Joseph bought some linen
cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb
cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.
¡iBBE¡jAnd he got a linen cloth and,
taking him down, put the linen cloth round him, and put him in a place for
the dead which had been cut out of a rock; and a stone was rolled against the
door.
